AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) and is captain of the San Diego Wave FC. She was also the co-captain for the United States women's soccer team between 2018 and 2020, along with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional at the time and played a major role in winning the league championship. Morgan was just 22 when she was picked to represent the team of the nation in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 in which they came out in second place. In the 123rd minutes of the semi-final clash against Canada in the 2012 London Olympics she scored the game-winning goal. She finished 2012 with 28 goals, 21 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score both 20 and 20 goals. She was the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to score 20 goals in a single season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year and was named a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan also helped the United States win their titles at the 2015 and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, which included her on the Dream Team for both tournaments, while she won the Silver Boot in 2019.
